Dr. (Ms.) Zarana, was born on July 26, 1967 to a Jain family in Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra in India. Her parents came from a typical middle class family. Seeing the beauty of this child who was born with a spotless stream of intuitive knowledge and love they called her “Zarana”, meaning “Perennial Flow” of love, energy and compassion.
Dr. (Ms) Zarana was naturally gifted from the very childhood and had inborn talents with inclination towards knowing the hidden secrets of the universe. She surprised her parents by reciting Vedic hymns and talking about truth of life.
At tender age of nine Dr.(Ms.) Zarana would pose such questions before her school teachers and others that they would be surprised by her sharp intellect and deep insights into spirituality. Those around her felt it remarkable that a child of her age could ask such profound questions. As a child, her home was always visited by spiritually evolved people. She was being blessed by mystics and sages right at her home from the early childhood.
In addition to her many talents, she started composing many poems and writing articles at an early age. These poetic expressions came from the depth of her heart. They are her innocent offerings to the divine where the divine is seen as the beloved and sometimes as a friend. ho reflects upon everything from inner mysticism to religious idiosyncrasies and malpractices. She openly censures misinterpretation of scriptures and how these have been used as tools to keep people away from inner wisdom.
